Omarama is the gateway to Mt Cook to the north and Queenstown to the south via the spectacular Lindis Pass, with the Waitaki Valley and its beautiful lakes to the East. We are on the doorstep of the Mackenzie Basin in the South Island High Country heartland.

For the avid skier, Ohau skifield can be reached in a 45 minute drive, and we are also ideally placed for a stopover between the skifields at Wanaka and Queenstown and the Mt Hutt field in Canterbury.

Our holiday park covers 10 acres of sheltered landscaped grounds, bounded by a trout stream, and features spacious camping sites, cabins and motel units. New Zealand’s highest altitude winery, a nice restaurant, and some great shops are only a few minutes’ walk away.

What a place to take your family holiday! Many families come back year after year to relax in this real country atmosphere. The New Years’ Sports Day is a treasured tradition of our holiday park. Organised by our campers, this informal romp includes all-time favourites like sack races and three-legged races.

The kids can have a game of backyard cricket on the island, or feed the trout in the stream. When the river is high enough, kids can even tube in it, and there’s almost always enough water for a refreshing dip on one of the many hot summer days this region is blessed with.

We are just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Clay Cliffs Winery, and so close (a few steps!) to a number of other awesome cafes and restaurants - including the Wrinkly Rams (sheep shearing experience and cafe/restaurant) and our friendly 'local pub'. There is also a Post Office and Lotto inside the local supermarket just a short stroll away.
